The event brings together cross-sector leaders to accelerate state-of-the-art technology solutions for the defense and national security communities.
Arlington, VA— Virginia-based technology and creative services company, U.Group, will join defense, private industry, federal agency, and academic leadership at the 2019 Defense TechConnect (DTC) Summit taking place from October 8-10 in National Harbor, MD.
Entering its sixth year, the DTC brings together thousands of public and private sector leaders focused on creating innovative defense solutions to connect and share learnings. Attendees can expect thousands of one-on-one meetings between small businesses and SBIR Federal Program Managers, hundreds of exhibition booths and tabletop displays, and dozens of breakout sessions on topics related to critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, biometrics, surveillance, reconnaissance (C4ISR), and more.
The U.Group team will be on-site sharing more about the company’s broad capabilities and ongoing work with the Department of Defense (DoD), including SBIR and CIFIUS. “It’s been exciting to extend our relationship with the DoD—offering them innovative ways to bring efficiency and security to the Department’s most pressing challenges,” said Chief Delivery Officer, Khalid Hassouneh. “From bringing a new suite of automation tools in support of the SIBR program to using machine learning to map the supply chain and uncover nefarious foreign investment activity, the sky’s the limit for how advanced technology can be used in defense and national security applications,” he added.
Exhibiting from booth #201, U.Group will also be giving visitors the chance to demo its mixed reality mission readiness simulation and offering an inside look at its new product suite. Dubbed the ‘Acquisition Innovation Portfolio,’ the suite includes critical capabilities focused on enhancing awareness of new and emerging technologies through technology scouting, open source deep and dark web crawling, and horizon scanning. U.Group Principal, Mike Pansky, had this to say about the portfolio, “with these commercial off-the-shelf products, partners can expect scalable, open architecture solutions to support their missions.”
U.Group’s DTC presence will also include an expert panel led by Chief Executive Officer Lena Trudeau on how the U.S. government and private sector can work together to protect our industrial base from foreign influence. Taking place on Wednesday, October 9 at 1 PM, the discussion will include insight from diverse schools of thought around a framework for industry outreach, recruiting, vetting, and matching investment to core technologies.
