Dr. Felicia McClary brings deep experience in science and engineering to U.Group. In her role as Technical Delivery Manager, she leads project teams through strategic efforts to adopt, develop, or refine processes and streamlines the delivery of creative solutions to customers.
Felicia’s desire to develop plans for technology adoption among vulnerable and marginalized groups led to her selection as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow. As a fellow at USAID, Felicia served as a program’s advisor for the Feed the Future (Global Food Security Act) presidential initiative. Traveling to Malawi and Zambia, Felicia connected with USAID foreign service officers, partners, and country governments to guide strategic direction of innovative solutions for rural farmers impacted by economic and environmental stressors, while increasing market access.
At Intel Corporation, Felicia drove the development of cost-effective techniques for leading microprocessor technology while collaborating on a new chemical process design with a company vendor. She also spearheaded the design of professional development plans, materials engineering trainings, and is a recipient of multiple company awards for these efforts.
A member of professional organizations ranging from deep science to the Association for Women in Science, Felicia draws on these relationships to reach the community. On weekends, she can be found in a lab coat as Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at George Mason University.
Felicia earned a BS in Chemistry from Eastern Washington University and a PhD in Chemistry with emphasis in Materials Synthesis for nanotechnology applications from Howard University.
