Cate Johnson

Project Manager

Cate is passionate about maximizing the impact of your projects, and ensuring your goals are met each step of the way. She is an expert in applied GIS and data-adaptive programming.  

Her expertise in the communication of technical information and processes to non-technical communities, combined with a sharp focus on the desired impact of her clients, results in quality delivery without exception.  

Cate currently works with the National Parks Foundation, the National Parks Service, and the National Archives and Records Administration. 

Before joining U.Group, Cate spent 7 years in the field of international development, specializing in data visualization, spatial thinking, GIS and mapping software, and building community ownership of information. Her career has focused on successful program management and delivery to a variety of clients, including USAID, USAID OTI, the World Bank, UN OCHA, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Affairs Canada (formerly CIDA), and the DoD.  

Cate holds a BA in Government from The College of William and Mary.
